And if you purchased Little Snitch 4.

You probably came here because your Mac showed a message telling you that software from “Objective Development Software GmbH” (Little Snitch) loaded a system extension that will no longer be compatible with a future version of macOS and that you should contact us, the developer, to get more information. Well, here you are.

In order to be able to perform filtering of network traffic, Little Snitch 4 installs a kernel extension (the above mentioned “System Extension”) which is based on Apple’s “Network Kernel Extension” API (NKE).

This API will be deprecated in a future version of macOS and replaced with a new “NetworkExtension” API (NE). Despite their similarity in name, these two APIs work very differently, so the underpinnings of Little Snitch do require a substantial rework.

Will there be an updated version of Little Snitch that is compatible?

Yes. We are going to release an update of Little Snitch that will utilize the compatible replacement APIs.

When will Little Snitch 4 become incompatible?

We expect the deprecation to become effective with the next major release of macOS. There’s no official release date from Apple, but based on the release schedule of recent years it will not be before this fall. Little Snitch 4 will then not be loaded by the operating system, but there will still be an option to allow the loading. [1]

What happens in the unlikely case that no updated version of Little Snitch is available at that time?

We do our best to have an updated version available right in time. But if you’re still concerned – keep in mind that there will be an option in macOS to allow running Little Snitch 4.

Yes. All licenses sold now include a free upgrade to Little Snitch 5. In addition, customers who purchased Little Snitch 4 within a one-year period prior to the final release of Little Snitch 5 (about this fall) will also get a free upgrade. And if you purchased Little Snitch 4 before that period, we will offer you an upgrade at a reduced price.

When will Little Snitch be updated to the new APIs?

The replacement APIs that are currently available (NetworkExtension framework on macOS 10.15.4) are not yet completely sufficient to implement the full functionality of Little Snitch. But we are working closely with Apple to fill the remaining gaps and we expect that a beta of the next major macOS version (most likely available at the next WWDC) or even an upcoming version of 10.15 will provide what is missing. As soon as the APIs allow us, we will complete the transition of Little Snitch to the new NetworkExtension API. It’s our goal to provide a public beta in June 2020 and a stable version in October. 1. The relevant sentence in Apple’s statement to developers is: “Future OS releases will no longer load kernel extensions that use deprecated KPIs by default.” ↩︎

Objective Development (Hacker News):

Third party developers can now bundle their apps with an Internet Access Policy file containing descriptions of all network connections that are possibly triggered by their app. Little Snitch will then display that information to users, helping them in their decision how to handle a particular connection. A description of the policy file format will be provided soon.

The network filter now performs Deep Packet Inspection instead of the previous IP address based filtering. This results in much more precise filter matching, especially in those cases where one and the same IP address is possibly associated with multiple hostnames (e.g. google.com vs. googleanalytics.com)

The code signature of the connecting processes is now taken into account. If a rule was created for a process with a valid code signature, that rule will no longer match if the signature changes or becomes invalid. This prevents malicious software from hijacking existing rules.

To avoid a vast numbers of connection alerts from appearing when using common macOS and iCloud services, Little Snitch now provides preconfigured rulesets for these usage areas.

Little Snitch Beta

Sounds awesome. It is compatible with macOS 10.13 if you use the new option in System Preferences to allow the kernel extension to load. Previously, kernel extensions just had to be signed using a special key that you apply for. Going forward, Apple is deprecating kernel extensions, so hopefully they will be adding an extension point so that utilities like Little Snitch can continue to work. If you want to do novel things with the kernel that Apple hasn’t pre-planned for, it sounds like you’ll be out of luck.

3utools script for 3ds max 4. When 3ds Max first starts, MAXScript searches for any startup script files, which it then automatically loads and runs. This feature is useful if you have function libraries you always use and want preloaded, or if you want to establish custom UI settings, define scripted plug-ins, or load scripted utility rollouts.MAXScript first searches for MacroScript (MCR) files in the uimacroscripts directory. These MacroScript definitions are not compiled at this time; rather they are just scanned to identify the MacroScripts that have been defined.MAXScript next searches for MAXScript files (MS, MSE, and MZP) in the plug-in path directories (specified on the Configure System Paths dialog and Configure User Paths dialog) and their subdirectories, and compiles these files. The base scene and user interface have not been created at this point, so no viewport or scene commands should be executed in these files. These files should primarily define scripted plug-ins and utility functions.Any utility functions used by the macroScripts defined when reading the uimacroscripts directory should be defined in a.ms or.mse file in one of these directories.

The linked session says they're deprecating network kernel extensions, not all KEXTs.
(Yes there are the German rumors about that, but I suspect they might have just not heard the *network* part).

Little Snitch 4 Public Beta

They are deprecating Kernel Extensions on iOS. But macOS is clearly the next step. They are looking for feedback on what is currently missing in the Network Extension features set so that moving from NKE to NE can be done.
